An abusive relationship unfolds between a domineering mother driving her son to despair in the forlorn Austrian countryside. Can Siegfried liberate himself from her or is he doomed to his filial duty?
“Mami” sagte is a documentary about an abandoned farmhouse melded with an imagined audio narrative about its former inhabitants. The story of Siegfried and Mum is inspired by the forsaken artifacts, which remained in the farmhouse.
